Good questions
Do I need an account?
Nope. Open the app and write. You only sign in, with Apple or an email code, if you want sync.
What if I stop paying for sync?
Your notebooks stay on your devices and you keep writing in them. They just stop keeping each other up to date.
Is anything held back from the free app?
No writing features, no. Sync and the web app need servers, and servers cost money, so that’s what the subscription is for.
How do I pay, and what about refunds?
Through the App Store, so Apple handles billing and refunds. We never see your card.
How do I cancel or delete my account?
Cancel in your App Store subscriptions. To delete your account, open Settings in Penna and choose Delete Account. Sync stops straight away and your synced data is gone from our servers within 30 days. Your notebooks stay on your devices.
Do I need an Apple Pencil?
It helps, but no. Your finger, a mouse or a trackpad all write too.
Write it down. Then find it again.
